Hon'ble CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu Conducts High-Level CRDA Review Meeting at Camp Office, Undavalli

Samaya Jyothi | Undavalli:
Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu conducted a crucial high-level review meeting today on the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) at the camp office in Undavalli. The session underscored the government’s renewed focus on structured urban development, transparent governance, and rapid infrastructural growth within the capital region.

This review marks the Chief Minister’s first detailed engagement with the CRDA since resuming office, signaling his intent to revive and strengthen Amaravati’s development plan. Senior government officials, urban planning experts, and administrative heads were in attendance, showcasing the importance the administration is placing on streamlined planning and execution.

Speaking at the meeting, Shri Chandrababu Naidu emphasized the need to prioritize sustainable infrastructure while accelerating the capital region’s development. “Our capital region must reflect the aspirations of the people of Andhra Pradesh. Transparency, speed, and long-term vision will be the cornerstones of our approach,” the Chief Minister stated.

Key points of discussion included:

  1. Reactivation of Amaravati Master Plan – Naidu reaffirmed his commitment to the original master plan envisioned for Amaravati, emphasizing that core infrastructure like roads, drainage, and housing for government employees must be completed on priority.

  2. Focus on Farmers’ Welfare – The CRDA was instructed to ensure that land donors and farmers associated with the land pooling scheme are duly recognized and rewarded. This includes re-examining land allotment, development status, and pending compensations.

  3. Smart Infrastructure – The CM stressed the integration of smart city elements into CRDA’s planning, including fiber optic networks, digital command centers, and eco-friendly transit systems to promote sustainable growth.

  • Foreign Investments & MoUs – Strategies to attract foreign investment were discussed, particularly in the fields of IT, logistics, education, and healthcare. The CM expressed intent to revive MoUs signed with global firms during his previous tenure.

  • Citizen-Centric Development – Naidu directed officials to adopt a citizen-first policy while implementing projects, ensuring amenities such as parks, public transport, sanitation, and drinking water are made readily accessible.

  • Timeline-Based Execution – Stressing on accountability, the Chief Minister urged CRDA authorities to work with a fixed timeline model, where each phase of development is monitored and evaluated consistently.

Officials presented updates on ongoing works and highlighted roadblocks caused during the previous regime. The Chief Minister patiently reviewed each department’s brief and assured them of full support from the state government.

Naidu’s return to the helm has brought back hope for many in the Amaravati region. “We are witnessing a return to visionary leadership,” said a local land donor who attended the public interaction session following the review meeting. “His review today shows that development is back on track.”

Political analysts believe this review meeting could mark a significant turning point in Amaravati’s stalled progress. With CRDA now receiving top-level attention, experts anticipate a fresh wave of infrastructure projects that could revive economic activity in the region.

In closing, the Chief Minister announced that a follow-up meeting would be held within the next 45 days to track progress, ensure coordination among departments, and resolve bottlenecks swiftly.

This proactive approach is in line with Naidu’s broader governance strategy — vision-driven, tech-powered, and people-centric. As Andhra Pradesh braces for a new era of growth, the revival of the CRDA under his leadership could become a cornerstone for sustainable urban transformation.
