Six Inter-District Thieves Arrested, Valuables Worth ₹36 Lakh Seized in Bhupalpally

Samaya Jyothi: Shocking Theft Ring Busted by Bhupalpally Police

Bhupalpally (Samaya Jyothi):
In a major breakthrough, the Bhupalpally police successfully cracked down on a dangerous inter-district theft gang that had been targeting Singareni quarters and committing a series of night-time burglaries. Acting on credible intelligence and surveillance, the police apprehended six criminals and recovered valuables worth ₹36 lakhs, bringing a sense of relief and safety back to the residents of the region.

The arrests were carried out during a focused operation under the district police’s crime control initiative, aligning with the objectives of the Samaya Jyothi program — a proactive citizen safety and redressal framework aimed at ensuring swift justice and crime prevention.

Massive Seizure Shocks Locals

According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Dr. Pushpa Reddy, the seizure includes:

  • 37 tolas of gold

  • 2 kilograms of silver

  • 3 two-wheelers

  • 2 LED TVs

  • 1 laptop

These items were stolen from various residential quarters of Singareni employees and surrounding areas over the last two months.

The SP praised the Special Task Force (STF) and local station officers for acting promptly and neutralizing what she called a “well-organized and mobile criminal network operating across multiple districts.”

Operation Under Samaya Jyothi

The arrests mark yet another milestone under the Samaya Jyothi policing initiative, which emphasizes immediate response, inter-district coordination, and technological intervention to prevent and investigate crimes. The police tracked the suspects using a combination of CCTV footage, vehicle movement analysis, and mobile phone tracking.

“The Samaya Jyothi initiative empowers law enforcement to act quickly and decisively. We are committed to making Bhupalpally a safe and crime-free district,” said SP Pushpa Reddy during a press conference.

The Criminal Modus Operandi

As per the preliminary investigation, the gang used to conduct reconnaissance during the day and strike at night, primarily targeting homes that were temporarily vacant. Their preferred targets were Singareni quarters, due to predictable shift timings and the assumption that employees might be away for extended periods.

The gang used two-wheelers without number plates, covered their faces, and communicated via encrypted mobile apps to avoid detection. This level of planning, according to police, indicates their prior experience in such crimes across adjacent districts like Warangal, Karimnagar, and Khammam.

Breakthrough from Technical Evidence

The turning point in the investigation came when a stolen bike was captured on high-definition CCTV footage. This led to the identification of a suspect from a previous offense. Surveillance teams monitored movement patterns, and police launched a midnight raid on a hideout near the Bhupalpally outskirts, leading to the arrest of all six members.

The seized items were recovered from multiple locations, including pawn shops and rented rooms used for hiding stolen goods.

Community Relief and Police Appreciation

Residents of Singareni and nearby colonies expressed relief and lauded the swift action by the police. Many had been living in fear due to the recent spike in break-ins. Local associations have now pledged cooperation with police by installing better security systems and participating in neighborhood watch groups.

Ramesh, a resident of Singareni quarters, said, “The quick action by Bhupalpally police gives us confidence. They caught the culprits before things got worse. We thank the Samaya Jyothi team.”

Commitment to Zero Tolerance

SP Pushpa Reddy reiterated that there will be zero tolerance for organized crime in Bhupalpally. She urged the public to remain vigilant and immediately report suspicious activities through the Samaya Jyothi helpline and digital platforms.

“People’s safety is our top priority. With the help of technology and public support, we will continue to dismantle criminal networks,” she stated.

Legal proceedings have been initiated against the six accused under relevant IPC sections. The Bhupalpally police are also coordinating with other district forces to uncover possible links to thefts in other regions. Authorities are confident that this arrest may help solve multiple unsolved cases from neighboring districts.

The recovered property will soon be returned to its rightful owners after legal procedures are completed.
