Asaduddin Owaisi Slams Chandrababu Naidu: “Don’t Sabotage Your Son’s Future”

Owaisi Sparks Controversy Over Nara Lokesh’s Future, Criticizes Chandrababu Naidu’s Legacy Approach

Hyderabad, July 9, 2025
In a fiery political broadside, AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi has taken aim at Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo Chandrababu Naidu, accusing him of undermining his own son Nara Lokesh’s political rise.

Speaking at a rally, Owaisi said:

“You ruled for 14 years — wasn’t that enough? If you truly care about your legacy, pass it on properly, not vaguely. Don’t sabotage your own son’s future.”

The comment has ignited a storm in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana political circles, with leaders across parties reacting to Owaisi’s bold statement.

Political Firestorm

While the TDP has yet to officially respond, close aides of Nara Lokesh have downplayed the remark, suggesting Owaisi is attempting to stir unnecessary drama during a time of party consolidation and rebranding.

However, several analysts point out that Owaisi’s comments touch a sensitive chord within the TDP, where succession planning and leadership transition remain hotly debated issues.

Strategic Targeting?

Political observers believe Owaisi’s remarks are part of a larger strategy to position AIMIM as a voice challenging dynastic politics and traditional power centers in South India — especially as Telangana and Andhra Pradesh prepare for future assembly battles.

“This isn’t just about Naidu or Lokesh — Owaisi is testing the waters to expand AIMIM’s influence beyond Hyderabad,” one analyst noted.
