The visit, unannounced and sincere, emphasized the critical importance of quality education, hygienic infrastructure, and the effective utilization of government resources.
Hari Chandana Dasari, known for her proactive and people-centric approach, visited classrooms, reviewed sanitation conditions, interacted directly with students, and assessed teaching effectiveness. During the inspection, the Collector paid close attention to student well-being. She checked drinking water availability, restroom cleanliness, classroom ventilation, and midday meal standards. This hands-on engagement inspired both students and staff, leaving them motivated and reassured of government support.
Many students, visibly excited by the Collector’s visit, expressed interest in becoming teachers, doctors, and IAS officers. “Children need more than books — they need to know they matter,” said Dasari during the interaction. Monitoring Learning Outcomes
Apart from infrastructural review, the Collector evaluated academic progress. She inspected notebooks, teaching materials, and lesson plans. Teachers were asked about syllabus coverage, methods of interactive learning, and performance tracking systems.
By observing live classes, Hari Chandana assessed both teacher delivery and student comprehension levels. She emphasized the use of government-provided educational resources, smart learning aids, and the integration of activity-based methods to make education more engaging.
In a follow-up briefing with the school staff, she urged teachers to consistently adapt to new methods and build emotional connections with students. “Quality education starts with understanding the child. Government schools must evolve to reflect innovation and care,” she said.
Focus on Hygiene and Infrastructure
A major part of the surprise inspection involved evaluating hygiene. Dasari visited toilets, wash areas, and kitchen facilities. She appreciated schools where cleanliness standards were maintained and immediately flagged areas where improvement was necessary.

Instructions were given on ensuring regular sanitation, availability of clean drinking water, and functional hand-washing stations — all essential for the holistic development and health of children.
She also discussed maintenance budgets and called for optimal use of government funds allocated to schools under development and welfare schemes. She encouraged headmasters to submit proposals for additional support where gaps remain.
Community Participation Encouraged
Hari Chandana Dasari strongly believes in inclusive governance. As part of her interaction, she spoke with school management committee (SMC) members and parents who happened to be present. She advocated for greater community participation in monitoring school progress.
“Ownership must come from the ground up. When communities take pride in their local schools, transformation becomes sustainable,” she emphasized.
