Hyderabad District Collector Anudeep Durishetty has directed officials to identify and evaluate examination centres for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG-2025, scheduled for May 4. With an estimated 35,000 candidates expected to appear for the exam in Hyderabad district, the Collector emphasized the need for well-equipped and accessible centres.

During the meeting, the Collector stressed the importance of ensuring basic amenities at all designated examination centres, aiming to provide a seamless experience for students appearing for the exam.

Instructions for Site Assessments
To ensure that NEET UG-2025 is conducted in a hassle-free manner, the Collector directed Tahsildars to carry out on-site inspections of potential exam centres. The designated institutions include:

  • Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs)
  • Government schools and colleges
  • Railway and Army schools
    Engineering colleges and central universities
  • CBSE schools and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas
  • Eklavya Model Residential Schools
  • Officials have been instructed to submit a comprehensive report on the existing infrastructure and any necessary improvements to ensure that these venues meet the required standards.

Focus on Basic Amenities and Infrastructure for NEET Candidates

Given the large number of candidates, authorities are also planning crowd management and traffic control measures near examination centres. The Hyderabad police department has been asked to coordinate with local traffic police to:

  • Ensure smooth movement of candidates and parents.
  • Restrict unnecessary public entry near exam centres.
  • Set up special security checkpoints to prevent any untoward incidents.
To assist students and parents, the district administration plans to set up a NEET helpline for inquiries related to exam centres, transport, and emergencies. A help desk will be available at key locations to provide last-minute support to candidates.
The assessment aims to enhance facilities at NEET UG-2025 exam centres, ensuring a secure, efficient, and stress-free examination experience for thousands of aspiring medical students.
