SamayaJyothi, Hyderabad: A 26-year-old student from Telangana, G Praveen, was allegedly found dead with bullet wounds in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, according to his family members, who were informed by US authorities on Wednesday morning (Indian time).
Praveen, who was pursuing a Master’s degree in Milwaukee, was reportedly found with bullet injuries. While some sources claim he was shot dead by unidentified assailants at a store, the exact cause of his death remains unknown, said his cousin Arun, speaking to PTI.
According to Arun, Praveen had called his father in the early hours of Wednesday, but his father, who was asleep at the time, missed the call. The tragic news has left Praveen’s parents in a state of shock.
The family, originally from Ranga Reddy district near Hyderabad, has been informed by US authorities that the exact cause of death will be determined after an autopsy.
Praveen had completed his B Tech in Hyderabad before moving to the US in 2023 to pursue his higher studies. He had last visited India in December 2024 and returned to the US in January this year.
Following the shocking incident, Praveen’s family members have approached local MLAs and other leaders seeking assistance in the matter.
