Chhaava Remains Strong at the Box Office with 5.40 Crores on Day 19 Despite Pushpa 2’s Dominance
Chhaava, the historical epic starring Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, continues its impressive run at the Indian box office. However, the film saw a notable dip in collections on its 19th day. Chhaava earned 5.40 crores on Day 19, experiencing a 30.23% decline from the previous day’s 7.74 crores.
Although this drop is significant, it remains one of the highest third-Tuesday earnings in the history of Hindi cinema, securing the fourth-highest spot. The film was still outperformed by Pushpa 2 (Hindi), which grossed 11.50 crores, and other films like Baahubali 2 (Hindi) and Stree 2.
The dip in Chhaava’s earnings can be attributed to multiple factors, including the impact of the ICC Champions Trophy semi-final match between India and Australia, which led to lower audience turnout, particularly in the evening and night shows.

Despite the dip in Day 19 numbers, Chhaava has already grossed an impressive 484.70 crore net in just 19 days. The film is expected to cross the 500 crore mark during its fourth weekend, making it a massive success for Vicky Kaushal. With the upcoming release of Salman Khan’s Sikandar at the end of March, the battle for box office supremacy continues.
