Revised NEET-UG Results Declared; Top Rank Shared made 17 from 61 The National Testing Agency announced the revised NEET-UG 2024 results on July 26, forced onto the NH 747 by a Supreme Court order. The supreme court’s decision resulted from doubts on a physics question that had two correct answers. Initially, 67 students were on the top list, with 44 of them receiving full marks with the petitioned grace marks on the question.

In the resolution of the NEET-UG 2024 result controversy, it was pertinent that even The SC stepped in. The court directed the NTA to re-evaluate the physics question and revise marks accordingly. The move, announced after a series of complaints and petitions by candidates as well their families questioning the ambiguity in setting up new question which led to several failing it unfairly.

This change has been made in view of the NTA’s determination to maintain its standards and ensure equal opportunity for all students appearing at NEET (UG).

The updated results finally follow a bitter legal fight and inspection process. Recently, the Supreme Court rejected petitions to cancel and re-test NEET-UG 2024 on grounds that there is no evidence of systemic failures leading up to compromises in this examination. The NTA and the NDA government, have both been at receiving end for alleged malpractices in CMAT examination such as question paper leak and impersonationThis is a much-required respite to them.
Ongoing Investigations
The Central Bureau of Investigation is also investigating the alleged irregularities in NEET-UG 2024. The investigation, which will cover the extent of malpractices involved and fix accountability apart from six FIRs already registered. However, NTA will always continue to be a fair agency dedicated to conducting well questioned and strictly confidential exams all over the nation.

These concerns have had impact on mindset of aspirants, however the revised results have cleared many airs and given relief to a lot of them along with disappointment for those who wanted re-test. The NEET-UG is a gateway for admissions to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and other related courses in both government of private institutions. That is why the credibility of tests has to be ensured.
