KTR Accuses Revanth Reddy’s Brother-in-Law of Securing Lucrative Government Contracts with Minimal Business Background
KTR Accuses Revanth Reddy's Kin of Gaining Multi-Crore Contracts Despite Limited Business Turnover
In a fresh wave of accusations amidst the heated political atmosphere in Telangana, Minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has leveled serious allegations against Srujan Reddy, the brother-in-law of Congress leader Revanth Reddy. KTR claimed that Srujan Reddy’s company, which previously recorded an annual turnover of less than ₹2 crore, has been awarded government contracts worth thousands of crores after Congress came into power.
Speaking at a recent press conference, KTR questioned the legitimacy of these contracts and implied favoritism, accusing the Congress of enabling its leaders’ families to gain financially through public projects. “How does a company with such a low turnover suddenly secure contracts worth thousands of crores?” he asked, calling for greater scrutiny over the handling of public funds and fair awarding of government contracts.
The allegations have intensified the rivalry between KTR’s Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and the Congress, especially as both parties ramp up efforts for the upcoming state elections. Congress representatives have yet to respond to KTR’s claims, while political analysts suggest that transparency and governance could become pivotal issues in the polls.
The controversy has sparked widespread public interest, with calls for clearer regulations to prevent possible misuse of political power in contract awards. The incident underscores the importance of accountability in government dealings and is likely to keep tensions high as Telangana’s political landscape heats up.
