Naisha Bajaj, a rising star in Indian kickboxing, recently made history by winning gold at the India Open International Kickboxing Tournament held in New Delhi from February 1-5, 2025. Competing against top fighters from over 20 countries.
Naisha’s victory was a testament to her dedication and resilience. However, she highlights a major issue—kickboxing remains unrecognized in Telangana, leaving athletes without the support they deserve.
The 4th India Open International Kickboxing Tournament, held at KD Jadhav Stadium, saw over 1000 participants from 20+ countries, including Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Nepal, Great Britain, Iran, Iraq, Turkey, and South Korea. The event was broadcast live on Doordarshan Sports, showcasing the sport’s growing popularity.
