Arms Recovery in Manipur: Multi-Agency Crackdown Targets Unrest in Valley Districts
Imphal, July 9, 2025 —
In a significant move aimed at restoring peace and curbing escalating unrest, joint teams of the Manipur Police, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and the Indian Army conducted coordinated search operations across the outskirts of five valley districts in Manipur.
The multi-agency operation led to the recovery of a large cache of arms and ammunition, including automatic rifles, pistols, and explosives. This effort marks a strategic breakthrough in ongoing attempts to stabilize the region, which has witnessed persistent tensions over the past year.
“These operations are being carried out based on intelligence inputs. Our goal is to dismantle illegal armed networks and ensure safety for all communities,” a senior official stated.
