Illegal Constructions Demolished on Sacred Cremation Ground Land in Parvatapur

Justice for Sacred Ground: Encroachments Bulldozed in Parvatapur

In a strong and symbolic move, the Peerzadiguda Municipal Corporation deployed hydraulic bulldozers to demolish illegal structures built on cremation ground land in Parvatapur.

Over the past two years, survey numbers 1, 10, and 11 had been unlawfully encroached, with portions of the land illegally sold and constructed upon. The demolition restores the original dignity and public access to the land, traditionally reserved for last rites and community rituals.

Officials confirmed that the demolition drive was conducted in coordination with law enforcement and local authorities to ensure a peaceful and effective clearance operation.

“This land belongs to the people — not to land sharks,” said a municipal spokesperson. “We will not tolerate disrespect to such sacred sites.”

Community Reactions

Locals expressed relief and gratitude, saying the sacred nature of the land had long been violated. Several residents called for strict action against those who facilitated the land sales.

Significance

This action sends a clear message: sacred and public-use lands are not for sale. The Peerzadiguda Municipal Corporation has reiterated its commitment to upholding zoning laws and preventing encroachments in the future.
