Deccan Challengers defeat Desi Katta to win the Indian American Premier League
California, March 1, 2025: The Indian American Premier League (IAPL) Winter Season 2025, organized by Moiz, successfully concluded with an exciting final match. Deccan Challengers emerged as champions, defeating Desi Katta to claim the trophy. The T12 format tournament began on January 18, 2025, and concluded on March 1, 2025. Teams paid an entry fee of $350 and competed for a grand prize of $1,000 along with trophies.
The final match took place at GM Walters Ground, California, where Deccan Challengers captain Maqdoom Hussain proudly lifted the trophy, which was presented by tournament organizer Faizan Moiz.
The competition, held in an 12-over format, brought exciting, high-energy cricket to the Indian American community, showcasing immense talent and sportsmanship. Deccan Challengers’ victory has set a high bar for future seasons of the IAPL, promising even more thrilling cricket action.
