Chaos at Congress Meet in Khairatabad: Danam Nagender and Vijaya Reddy Clash Publicly

Congress Clash in Khairatabad: Danam Nagender and Vijaya Reddy’s Heated Exchange Disrupts Party Meet

Hyderabad, July 9, 2025 —
Internal dissent rocked the Congress party in Hyderabad on Tuesday as a constituency-level meeting held at Lake View Guest House in Banjara Hills descended into chaos and slogan wars, following a public altercation between MLA Danam Nagender and Corporator Vijaya Reddy.

According to party sources, the clash began during discussions on constituency development and grassroots coordination. The disagreement quickly escalated into a shouting match, with supporters from both camps chanting slogans, leading to a complete disruption of the meeting.

“This is not how a party of our legacy should function,” remarked a senior leader present at the meeting.

Visibly frustrated by the lack of order and discipline, DCC President Rohin Reddy walked out midway through the proceedings, refusing to mediate between the two factions. His abrupt exit sent a strong message about the deepening cracks within the party’s city leadership.

The incident adds to the ongoing turmoil within the Congress ranks in Telangana, where factionalism and lack of internal coordination have been plaguing local units post-elections.

Party high command is yet to release an official statement, but insiders say disciplinary action or mediation efforts may follow.
