Bhubharati Revenue Conference: Collector and MLA Engage Directly with Public in Sangareddy

Ramreddy Pet, Nizampet Mandal (Samaya Jyothi) — In a powerful demonstration of administrative transparency and public service, the District Collector of Sangareddy district, accompanied by the local MLA, took part in the Bhubharati Revenue Conference organized in Ramreddy Pet village of Nizampet Mandal. The program drew active participation from villagers, officials, and land applicants seeking resolution of long-pending issues.

The Bhubharati Revenue Conference, a citizen-centric initiative by the state government, is intended to bring land administration services directly to the people, ensuring speedy, transparent, and error-free resolution of grievances related to land and revenue matters.

Leadership with People-Centric Focus

The District Collector and MLA closely observed the functioning of various help desks set up during the conference and directly interacted with applicants who had submitted requests related to land ownership, mutations, boundary issues, and documentation problems.

The Collector said, “Our goal through the Bhubharati Revenue Conference is to understand people’s land problems firsthand and provide solutions at their doorstep.”

She further emphasized the need for field officials to engage empathetically, ensuring that no citizen is burdened by avoidable red tape or delayed justice.

Real-Time Problem Resolution in Focus

During the conference, several applicants from Ramreddy Pet and nearby villages submitted their applications related to:

  • Incorrect land entries in Dharani records

  • Delayed mutation approvals

  • Boundaries not matching physical survey data

  • Inheritance and succession-related discrepancies

Officials from the revenue department were present at help counters and began resolving issues on the spot. In cases requiring additional verification, clear follow-up instructions and contact points were provided to applicants.

One elderly woman expressed relief after receiving clarity on a long-pending succession certificate issue. “This is the first time I’ve felt heard. The Collector spoke to me directly and assured a quick solution,” she said with gratitude

The local MLA, who accompanied the Collector, appreciated the Bhubharati initiative and stated, “It’s commendable that our administration is going village to village to solve people’s land issues. This is real governance.”

The duo visited various counters, interacted with applicants from all age groups, and ensured that no case was ignored. They also made note of repetitive complaints, indicating systemic issues that need district-level intervention.

The Collector assured the public that regular follow-ups and field visits would continue to monitor the progress of submitted cases.

Community Empowerment and Education

As part of the Bhubharati Revenue Conference, a special awareness session was held to educate villagers on:

  • Proper use of the Dharani portal

  • Steps to apply for mutations or certificate updates

  • How to avoid fraudulent transactions

  • Whom to contact for clarifications and appeals

The session was led by senior Mandal Revenue Officers (MROs), supported by VROs, technical staff, and local volunteers. Pamphlets with detailed information were distributed to make the process easy to follow.

A Tech-Driven Approach

Officials demonstrated digital tools being used for tracking applications, scanning land maps, and accessing real-time land data. The Collector highlighted the government’s investment in tech-based transparency, urging staff to ensure data integrity and minimal error rates.

“Digitization must not become a hurdle but a help. Our systems should work for the people, not the other way around,” she said.

Strong Local Support

The Bhubharati Revenue Conference received overwhelming support from the local community leaders, Sarpanches, and self-help groups. Many residents echoed the need to conduct such programs more frequently.

“With Collector and MLA among us, our confidence in the system grows. We feel seen and heard,” said a farmer from Nizampet.

Looking Ahead

The District Collector concluded the program with a strong message: “We will continue to bring the administration to the people. Every land issue, no matter how old or complex, will be resolved with fairness and speed under the Bhubharati framework.”

A detailed report of the grievances collected during the day will be forwarded to the respective departments for resolution. Officials have also been instructed to revisit unresolved applications within a week and submit status updates to the Collector’s office.

This Bhubharati Revenue Conference once again showcased the Telangana government’s commitment to proactive governance, field-level accountability, and citizen empowerment, reinforcing faith in the administrative process.
