Telangana First-Year Intermediate Exams Begin: High Attendance & Parental Concerns

As the clock ticked towards noon, the narrow lanes of Kamala Nagar in Hyderabad’s ECIL were packed with nearly a hundred anxious parents waiting outside CMS Commerce Junior College.
Their vehicles lined the streets as they eagerly anticipated the exit of their children, who had just completed the Second Language Paper-1 of the Telangana First-Year Intermediate Examinations.The exams, conducted by the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE), commenced on March 5 and will continue until March 25.

Exam Attendance and Malpractice Cases According to TGBIE data, out of the 5,14,184 students registered for the examination, 4,96,899 were present, marking a significant attendance rate. However, two malpractice cases were reported, one in Hanamkonda and another in Warangal.

Strict Monitoring and Security Measures

The Telangana education department has enforced strict monitoring and security measures to ensure the smooth conduct of exams. Surveillance cameras and flying squads have been deployed across multiple centers to prevent unfair practices and maintain exam integrity.
Parental Concerns and Student Reactions Many parents gathered outside exam centers expressed concerns about paper difficulty and exam stress. Students, on the other hand, had mixed reactions, with some finding the paper easy while others struggled with certain sections.
As the examinations continue over the next few weeks, authorities remain focused on ensuring fair and transparent evaluation for all candidates.
