Green Tribute to Mothers: Modi Milk Celebrates 11 Years with Tree Plantation Drive

Ibrahimpatnam, Adibhatla Municipality — In a heartfelt celebration of sustainability and community values, the team at Booth No. 130 of Ibrahimpatnam, Adibhatla Municipality, marked the 11th anniversary of Modi Milk by planting 11 saplings. The event, led by senior BJP leader Dr. Boora Narsaiah Goud and supported by @bjp4ibrahimpatnam, was held as part of the nationwide campaign #EkPedMaaKeNaam (One Tree in the Name of Mother), inspired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

The plantation drive not only honored the longstanding commitment of Modi Milk to health and nutrition but also underscored the need for environmental consciousness at the grassroots level. Each sapling planted symbolized a tribute to motherhood, aligning with the emotional and ecological message promoted by the campaign.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Boora Narsaiah Goud emphasized the dual significance of the occasion. “We are not only celebrating 11 successful years of Modi Milk — a brand that has served millions — but also aligning ourselves with a vision for a greener, healthier India,” he said. “Planting a tree in your mother’s name is more than symbolic. It’s a step toward nurturing the future while honoring the roots.”

Local residents, BJP karyakartas, and youth from the municipality joined in the effort, each taking part in the planting and pledging to care for the saplings as a tribute to their mothers. The initiative saw overwhelming support from all age groups, and the sentiment behind it resonated deeply with the community.

The #EkPedMaaKeNaam campaign, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has gained traction nationwide. It calls upon every citizen to plant a tree in honor of their mother, intertwining environmental action with emotional connection. The campaign encourages responsibility and community ownership, focusing on building a sustainable tomorrow by engaging people at a personal level.

“Modi Milk has nourished our bodies for 11 years,” said a local vendor at the event. “Now, through this tree plantation, it nourishes the land and our hearts. This is the essence of true progress.”

The event also saw the involvement of Samaya Jyothi, a regional initiative that partners with local campaigns to amplify environmental consciousness through civic engagement. Samaya Jyothi volunteers helped organize the sapling distribution, guided attendees on proper planting techniques, and pledged to conduct follow-up care drives.

The types of saplings planted included neem, mango, and flowering varieties suitable for the local climate, selected with the guidance of horticulture experts to ensure their long-term survival. Each sapling was labeled with the name of the mother it was dedicated to, adding a personal and emotional dimension to the activity.

Community leaders addressed the gathering, urging citizens to continue the tradition and spread the message to neighboring wards and municipalities. Educational leaflets highlighting the benefits of afforestation and ways to care for saplings were also distributed to further the campaign’s reach.

In closing, Dr. Boora Narsaiah Goud reminded the attendees, “Every tree we plant today is a legacy for our future generations. When we do it in our mother’s name, it becomes a sacred duty.”

The event concluded with a pledge by all attendees to plant more trees in the coming months, making this initiative a long-term movement rather than a one-time event.
