Jupalli Krishna Rao Marches for Constitutional Values in Kollapur as Part of Jai Samvidhan Abhiyan

Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao Leads Padayatra to Uphold Constitutional Values in Kollapur

Kollapur, Telangana – In a significant show of commitment to democratic values and social justice, Telangana’s Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Excise, Jupalli Krishna Rao, actively participated in the Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan Padayatra held on Wednesday. The event is part of a nationwide campaign initiated under the directives of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) and the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC).

This powerful public outreach program aims to reinforce the ideological legacy of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architects of India’s social harmony and constitutional framework. As part of the campaign, Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao undertook a meaningful walk through the villages of Devuni Tirumalapur and Vennecharla in the Pedda Kothapalli mandal of Kollapur constituency.

Addressing the gathering, the Minister emphasized the need to remind citizens of the contributions made by the Indian National Congress during the freedom struggle and the immense developmental progress initiated by Congress-led governments post-independence. He called on Congress leaders and party workers to reach out directly to the people and educate them on the significance of the Constitution and the values of equality, justice, and unity it upholds.

“The Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan campaign is not just a march, it is a movement to protect the ideals of our nation. Mahatma Gandhi gave us the path of peace, and Dr. Ambedkar gave us the Constitution — both are being undermined by the current regime,” Jupalli Krishna Rao asserted.

He further criticized the BJP-led central government for allegedly attempting to dilute constitutional values. “While India has witnessed progress in various sectors under Congress leadership for over seven decades, the present BJP government is reversing this progress. Their approach towards the Constitution and key democratic institutions is alarming,” the Minister remarked.

The padayatra was attended by local Congress party workers, youth leaders, social activists, and a large number of villagers who expressed solidarity with the movement. The participants carried banners and placards with messages promoting Gandhian and Ambedkarite values, chanting slogans like “Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan.”

The Minister also touched upon the welfare initiatives and developmental schemes being currently implemented by the Congress-led Telangana government, highlighting its focus on social equity, education, and cultural preservation. He reiterated that the present government is working diligently to ensure that the marginalized communities receive the rights and opportunities guaranteed by the Constitution.

“This is not just a campaign; it’s a call to action. We must protect the soul of our nation from divisive forces and stand united to preserve the sanctity of the Constitution,” Jupalli concluded.

The Jai Samvidhan Abhiyan is being seen as a direct counter to the rising centralization of power and alleged erosion of democratic norms. By aligning itself with the legacies of Gandhi and Ambedkar, the Congress party aims to galvanize support across social and regional lines while highlighting its historical role in shaping modern India.

Local villagers who joined the padayatra appreciated the Minister’s efforts and voiced their support for the campaign. “We believe in the Constitution. We are thankful that our leaders are taking steps to ensure our voices are heard,” said Lakshmi, a resident of Devuni Tirumalapur.

As the campaign continues to spread across Telangana, it is expected to create a ripple effect, stirring political dialogue and reminding the nation of its foundational values.

The Samaya Jyothi media team covered the event live, documenting the significant turnout and capturing the public sentiment. With strong grassroots participation, the Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan movement appears to be gaining momentum, presenting a unique opportunity for the Congress party to reconnect with its ideological base and public support.
