HYDRAA Cracks Down on Illegal Advertisements, Sets Strict Removal Deadline

Ad Agencies Warned as Hyderabad Authorities Target Illegal Hoardings
HYDRAA has set Sunday, March 9, as the final deadline for the removal of unauthorized advertisement hoardings across Hyderabad. Individuals and agencies failing to comply will face action, as stated by HYDRAA chief AV Ranganath.
During recent meetings, ad agencies expressed concerns about pending payments from the financial year 2022-23. The government has put renewals on hold as it plans to introduce a new advertisement policy soon.
HYDRAA has warned that if illegal hoardings are not removed voluntarily, municipal authorities will dismantle them. This move is part of the government’s larger plan to regulate outdoor advertising and boost revenue collection.

Strict Action to Follow After Deadline

HYDRAA has made it clear that agencies and individuals must voluntarily remove illegal hoardings before the March 9 deadline. If they fail to comply, municipal authorities will take immediate action and dismantle the unauthorized advertisements.
This move is part of a larger effort to streamline outdoor advertising, ensure regulatory compliance, and eliminate illegal hoardings that contribute to visual clutter in the city.
With the deadline fast approaching, advertising agencies are urged to take necessary action to avoid penalties and removal of their hoardings. The new policy is expected to bring more transparency and fairness in the outdoor advertising sector in Hyderabad.
