The accident occurred in an area that sees heavy pedestrian traffic, especially during weekends, highlighting the risks posed by deteriorating infrastructure in high-use zones.
Commissioner Responds Swiftly
Soon after visiting the site, HYDRAA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath assessed the situation and declared the staircase structure unsafe. Without delay, he ordered its demolition via JCB machinery, ensuring that no further harm would come to passersby.

City-Wide Safety Inspections Announced

Local Corporator Satish Goud confirmed that a new and safer staircase will be built soon, promising locals that the bridge will be made secure and accessible.
