Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) star all-rounder, Andre Russell, has revealed his favorite shot in a recent Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 promo video, showcasing his explosive batting prowess. Russell’s revelation comes ahead of KKR’s highly anticipated clash against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL.
Russell, known for his ability to turn matches with his aggressive batting, was in breathtaking form in KKR’s first match against Hyderabad, where his unbeaten knock of 64 runs off just 25 balls rescued his team from a difficult position.
In the IPL promo, Russell expressed that his favorite shots are the ones he hits over long-on, as he relishes the feeling of connecting perfectly and sending the ball soaring into the stands. However, he added that the straight sixes are the ones he cherishes the most, highlighting his love for hitting the ball straight down the ground.
