CM Revanth Reddy Deposits ₹9,000 Cr Rythu Bharosa Funds into Farmers' Accounts Across Telangana
Hyderabad, June 18 (Samaya Jyothi):
In a major boost to the agricultural sector, the Telangana Government, under the leadership of Honourable Chief Minister Sri Revanth Reddy, has initiated the transfer of ₹9,000 crore to farmers’ bank accounts under the flagship Rythu Bharosa scheme. The announcement was made at the Rythu Nestham programme held at Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) in Hyderabad.
Marking a transformative step in farmer empowerment, CM Revanth Reddy emphasized that the welfare of farmers remains the cornerstone of his administration. He symbolically initiated the online transfer of Rythu Bharosa benefits to farmers during the event, assuring the entire ₹9,000 crore disbursal would be completed in just nine days.
“Governments cannot be formed without the support and blessings of farmers,” CM Revanth Reddy asserted, highlighting the vital role of farmers in shaping political leadership and state development.
He criticized the previous government’s decade-long tenure, accusing it of leaving Telangana in a deep financial crisis. “The state is in a debt trap of ₹8.20 lakh crore. Even in the next 100 years, the damage caused will be hard to reverse,” he remarked. “Those who now stage political dramas on streets are the very ones who did nothing when in power.”
Taking a strong stand, the Chief Minister called out the negligence and misplaced priorities of the former regime, stating they misled the public with “glass towers and colourful walls,” while neglecting core sectors like agriculture and education.

Taking a strong stand, the Chief Minister called out the negligence and misplaced priorities of the former regime, stating they misled the public with “glass towers and colourful walls,” while neglecting core sectors like agriculture and education.
He recalled how the previous government had once discouraged paddy cultivation and warned farmers with extreme consequences. In contrast, the current government not only ensured procurement of every grain but also promoted the cultivation of fine variety paddy, offering a ₹500 bonus per quintal. As a result, fine rice is now being supplied to economically weaker sections.
“Telangana has emerged as the number one state in paddy production,” CM Revanth proudly declared. “Today, I see joy in the eyes of every farmer — what more can a Chief Minister ask for?”
Over the past 18 months, the People’s Government has already invested ₹1 lakh crore into farmer welfare initiatives. CM Revanth invited the opposition for an open challenge: “Let’s conduct Grama Sabhas in every village and openly compare records on what has been done for farmers.”
He warned against the malicious tactics of the opposition, accusing them of trying to return to power through conspiracies rooted in despair and misinformation. “Give us time. Let us heal what was broken. You created the mess; allow us to clean it up.”
Further addressing governance reforms, the CM spoke of how the previous government even went to the extent of tapping personal phone conversations. In contrast, the current administration has restored freedom and transparency, recruiting over 60,000 government employees within just one year.
Reiterating the government’s dedication, CM Revanth instructed the Chief Secretary to work with district collectors to educate farmers on solar pump sets, crop rotation, and the potential of commercial crops. He urged farmers to embrace innovation for higher productivity.
“Land is the self-respect of the farmer. My government will stand by every farmer to protect it,” he affirmed.
Dismissing the protests organized by opposition parties as political theatrics, the CM made it clear: “Our government will complete 10 years. We are not distracted by their dharnas. Telangana’s future lies in truth, not manipulation.”
The Rythu Bharosa scheme continues to be a symbol of the government’s commitment to the farming community. With record production, increased income, and renewed dignity, Telangana’s farmers are stepping into a new era of confidence.
As Telangana leads the country in paddy production, CM Revanth Reddy’s words resonate deeply: “A happy farmer means a flourishing state.”
