Collector Tripathi Directs Beneficiaries to Accelerate Indiramma Housing Projects in Nalgonda
District Collector Tripathi Emphasizes Speedy Progress on Indiramma Housing in Nalgonda
Nalgonda, June 18 (Samaya Jyothi) — District Collector Tripathi has directed the beneficiaries of the Indiramma housing scheme to expedite the construction process. She stated that the government will disburse funds in installments based on the construction progress of each house. Her remarks came during a field inspection of the ongoing Indiramma housing works in Korra Thanda, located in Chandampet mandal under the Devarakonda Revenue Division of Nalgonda district.
During her visit on Tuesday, Collector Tripathi interacted with several beneficiaries, personally reviewing the status of construction works. Her visit aimed to ensure transparency and adherence to government-issued guidelines for the Indiramma housing initiative, which is designed to provide secure housing for underprivileged families.
A key part of her inspection included a visit to the under-construction house of beneficiary Korra Mounika. Upon reviewing the progress at the site, Tripathi observed that the construction was not being executed in line with government standards and directives. She expressed concern over the lack of compliance and instructed local officials to take immediate steps to guide and support the beneficiary in aligning the construction with required specifications.

Speaking to reporters at the site, Tripathi stressed the importance of completing these houses at a steady pace. “The Indiramma Housing Scheme is a vital program aimed at ensuring every eligible family has a roof over their head. However, timely execution and quality construction are non-negotiable. Beneficiaries must utilize the sanctioned funds efficiently and adhere strictly to the government’s construction norms,” she said.
The Collector further clarified that the disbursement of funds will be performance-based, divided into phases that correspond to visible progress on-site. This is to ensure accountability and to motivate beneficiaries to complete their homes within the designated timeline.
She directed mandal-level officers and panchayat secretaries to monitor the construction progress more stringently and to provide necessary technical assistance to beneficiaries. Tripathi also instructed local officials to conduct awareness campaigns in villages to educate the public about the procedures and technical standards of the housing scheme.
Tripathi’s visit highlights the government’s proactive approach to accelerating housing development under welfare schemes. The Collector reiterated that the objective of the Indiramma Housing Scheme is not merely to construct structures but to deliver sustainable and safe living spaces to families in need.
Local residents appreciated the Collector’s hands-on involvement and commitment to monitoring grassroots-level implementation. Beneficiaries, too, shared their concerns and requested timely release of the next installment to continue construction without interruptions.
District officials accompanying the Collector noted that regular field inspections would continue in the coming weeks across various mandals. This is part of a broader government initiative to streamline welfare implementation and remove bottlenecks in service delivery.
The Indiramma housing initiative is part of the state’s flagship mission to improve living standards and reduce homelessness in rural and semi-urban areas. Through this scheme, eligible beneficiaries are granted financial assistance to build permanent homes, thereby contributing to social stability and economic empowerment.
As the inspection concluded, Tripathi emphasized that collaborative efforts between the administration, technical teams, and the beneficiaries are essential to meet the state government’s goals under this housing program. She urged all stakeholders to work cohesively and with urgency.
With firm action and increased monitoring, the district administration aims to ensure that all sanctioned Indiramma houses are completed within the stipulated timeframe and in accordance with quality standards.
This initiative reflects a broader movement in Telangana toward inclusive development, and the role of district leadership like Tripathi’s remains critical in ensuring its success.
