District Authorities Launch Lightning Safety Awareness Logo with Saradhi Artists at Collectorate Hall

Collectorate Conference Hall, Telangana (Samaya Jyothi):
In a proactive initiative to promote Lightning Safety Awareness, a short film logo focused on the importance of taking preventive measures against lightning was officially unveiled at the Collectorate Conference Hall on Monday. The program was conducted under the instructions of the District Administrator, drawing the participation of senior district officials and Saradhi Artists, with active coordination from the District Public Relations Office.

The unveiling ceremony, spearheaded by District Public Relations Officer (DPRO) Tirumala, witnessed the enthusiastic presence of District Collector Rajarshi Shah, Additional Collector Shyamala Devi, and representatives of various departments and public safety initiatives. The event aimed at educating citizens about the dangers of lightning and the simple yet life-saving steps they can take during thunderstorms.

The event began with a brief introduction by the DPRO, highlighting the recent increase in lightning-related incidents and the pressing need for public awareness. He emphasized the role of creative media like short films in delivering crucial messages to rural and urban populations alike.

Speaking at the launch, Collector Rajarshi Shah said, “Raising awareness about lightning safety is not just an administrative duty—it’s a responsibility toward saving lives. The short film logo symbolizes our commitment to spreading this message across all corners of the district.”

The short film and its corresponding logo were conceptualized and designed by Saradhi Artists, a prominent cultural troupe known for their impactful messaging through visual arts. The visual identity captures the essence of caution, education, and preparedness. It will serve as a promotional tool across multiple government platforms, schools, social media, and Gram Panchayats to sensitize communities.

Additional Collector Shyamala Devi appreciated the collaborative efforts and noted that such creative initiatives make a lasting impression on the public. “Traditional awareness campaigns often miss emotional connect. But through visuals and artistic representation, we are bridging that gap,” she said.

A special segment of the event was devoted to school and college representatives, who were urged to incorporate these safety lessons into their morning assemblies and classroom activities.

The program was shared widely through official handles including @TelanganaCMO, @TelanganaCS, @CPRO_TGCM, @Bhatti_Mallu, @DamodarCilarapu, @jupallyk_rao, @CHFW_NHMTG, @IASassociation, @IasTelangana, @IPRTelangana, @DCsofIndia, and @PTI_News, reinforcing the government’s unified messaging on public safety.

The Collectorate Conference Hall buzzed with creative and administrative energy as various stakeholders—from public relations teams to cultural artists—engaged in dialogue about how best to distribute the content for maximum reach and impact. Plans were discussed to display the film during public meetings, mandal-level Gram Sabhas, and through social media campaigns with multilingual support.

The logo will be an identifying mark of all future material related to lightning safety, helping citizens instantly recognize the message. Posters, banners, pamphlets, and social media visuals bearing the logo will roll out starting this week.

The Lightning Safety Awareness program stands as a testament to how creative outreach, administrative willpower, and community collaboration can come together to protect lives. With more such proactive initiatives in the pipeline, the Telangana Government continues to set the standard for innovative public safety campaigns.

Samaya Jyothi will continue to track the campaign’s reach and impact across the district, ensuring the public stays informed and prepared.
