Bhatti Vikramarka’s Birthday Gift: ₹5 Cr for Victoria Memorial Wall

Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka Allocates ₹5 Crore for Victoria Memorial Home Development During Birthday Visit

Bhatti Vikramarka Celebrates Birthday with Students at Victoria Memorial Home, Sanctions ₹5 Crore for Infrastructure

Hyderabad, June 16: In a heartfelt gesture, Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka celebrated his birthday today with the students of Victoria Memorial Home Residential School in Saroornagar. The event, marked by warmth and sincerity, was attended by senior Congress leaders including TPCC Campaign Committee Chairman and former MP Madhuyashki Goud and MLA Mal Reddy Rangareddy. The leaders not only joined the children for lunch but also took time to listen to their concerns and participate in the celebrations.

The day carried significant announcements and a promise of tangible development. Bhatti Vikramarka, while interacting with the students and staff, announced the release of ₹5 crore in government funding for the construction of a protective wall around the Victoria Memorial Ground. This initiative aims to safeguard the school’s premises and enhance its overall infrastructure.

“This institution has been providing quality education to underprivileged children for decades. It’s our responsibility to protect and nurture such institutions,” said Bhatti Vikramarka. “I assure you that all pressing issues of the Victoria Memorial Home will be addressed promptly. The government stands committed to improving the living and educational conditions here.”

Madhuyashki Goud, in his address, highlighted the historic importance and the current role of the school in serving the economically weaker sections of society. “Victoria Memorial Home is not just a school; it’s a symbol of hope for hundreds of students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Its premises must be preserved and upgraded through CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives,” he emphasized.

He further appealed to citizens and organizations to join hands in the development of the Victoria Ashram School, urging local corporates to allocate a portion of their CSR funds towards building facilities like classrooms, libraries, and sports areas for the children.

Thousands of morning walkers, who frequent the Victoria Memorial Grounds daily, were also called upon to support this noble cause. “This is your neighborhood. You can be part of something transformative,” said Madhuyashki, encouraging active community participation.

The celebration witnessed emotional moments as students sang birthday songs, presented handmade greeting cards, and shared their dreams with the Deputy CM. The leaders reciprocated by distributing sweets, spending quality time with the children, and promising continued support for their academic and personal growth.

MLA Mal Reddy Rangareddy added that the new boundary wall would also ensure safety and privacy for the students. “This wall will not only mark the boundary but will symbolize a new beginning for a school that has given so much to society.”

Victoria Memorial Home, established during the pre-independence era, has long been a beacon of education for orphans and economically backward children in Telangana. Despite its heritage and social contribution, the institution has faced challenges over the years due to lack of proper maintenance and funding.

This latest development, led by Bhatti Vikramarka, is expected to revitalize the campus and improve the quality of life for its students. With the ₹5 crore grant, the school administration will soon begin the tender process for wall construction, expected to be completed within the next financial year.

As the celebrations concluded, Bhatti Vikramarka emphasized the government’s vision for inclusive education and urged everyone to support institutions like Victoria Memorial Home that work towards social upliftment.

The initiative, covered by Samaya Jyothi, aligns with Telangana’s broader agenda of empowering disadvantaged communities and building stronger educational foundations for the future.
