District Collector Unveils Yoga Day Poster in Nandyal

District Collector Abhilasha Abhinav Launched Yoga Day Poster at Collectorate Conference Hall

NANDYAL: District Collector Abhilasha Abhinav inaugurated the poster for International Yoga Day on Monday at the Collectorate Conference Hall in Nandyal. The poster unveiling marked the official launch of preparations for Yoga Day 2025 in the district, reflecting the administration’s strong resolve to promote health, wellness, and unity through yoga practice.

The event was attended by key officials from various departments, representatives of health organizations, yoga instructors, and members of the civic community. The poster, designed to raise awareness about Yoga Day, underscores the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of Yoga — a tradition that has crossed borders and become a universal practice.

During the unveiling ceremony, District Collector Abhilasha Abhinav explained that Yoga is more than just physical exercise; it is a way of life, a discipline that guides people toward peace, balance, and harmony. She insisted that Yoga has the ability to unite people across different backgrounds and create a healthy society.

“It is a privilege to unveil this poster and kick-start the preparations for International Yoga Day in Nandyal. Yoga plays a key role in strengthening both body and mind. It brings discipline, peace, and well-being to individuals and, by extension, to the whole community. Our aim is to make Yoga more accessible to everyone and to celebrate it in a grand, participatory way this year,” said Collector Abhilasha Abhinav.

The poster highlights this year’s Yoga Day theme, which focuses on unity and health for all. The District Collector stressed the need for extensive awareness campaigns in villages and towns to encourage people of all ages to practice Yoga and become health-conscious.

In the days leading up to Yoga Day, the district administration plans to organize a range of activities, including Yoga workshops, health camps, and demonstration sessions in collaboration with local Yoga experts and health organizations. Furthermore, special sessions will be held in schools and colleges to educate children and young adults about Yoga’s numerous health benefits.

“Yoga is not a new practice; it is an ancient discipline that has stood the test of time. It helps reduce stress, control lifestyle disorders, and foster physical and mental well-being. We want every person in Nandyal to be a part of this movement and realize the potential Yoga holds for their health and happiness.” the Collector added.

The poster unveiling was a ceremonial first step toward this ambitious health drive. The administration plans to distribute copies of the poster across all mandals, panchayaths, health centers, and educational institutions in the district to maximize visibility and participation.
