AI4AndhraPolice Hackathon 2025 marked a defining moment in Andhra Pradesh’s journey toward technology-driven governance and smart policing. Held at R.V.R. & J.C. College of Engineering, Guntur, the hackathon was honored by the presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri Nara Chandrababu Naidu Garu, whose visionary leadership reaffirmed the state’s commitment to harnessing Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cutting-edge technologies for public safety and digital transformation.
Joining the CM was Director General of Police Shri Harish Kumar Gupta, IPS, who has been instrumental in steering Andhra Pradesh Police toward a future-ready law enforcement model.

Under the theme “Shaping Tomorrow’s Policing with Today’s Technology”, the AI4AndhraPolice Hackathon 2025 brought together students, developers, and technologists to design real-world, AI-powered solutions addressing key challenges in modern policing.
From predictive crime analytics to AI-powered surveillance, cybercrime detection, and emergency response optimization, the event showcased youth-led innovations that could redefine public safety operations in India.

He noted that digital intelligence, forensic AI, and automated surveillance are no longer futuristic—they are becoming today’s operational standards.
His remarks highlighted how Andhra Pradesh Police is transitioning toward evidence-based policing, improved citizen services, and reduced response time through tech-enabled workflows.
“We are building a force that is technologically competent, ethically grounded, and people-first,” the DGP affirmed.

Hosted by R.V.R. & J.C. College of Engineering (RVRJCCE) in collaboration with @_4sightai and @appolice.100, the hackathon drew participation from leading engineering colleges and AI labs across the state.

Natural language processing for FIR automation
Citizen safety apps with real-time distress alerts
Deep learning for video surveillance and anomaly detection
Winning teams received accolades and the opportunity to work with the Andhra Pradesh Police tech innovation cell for prototype deployment and field validation.
